At just 10 years old Jaden has faced more than most people will in a lifetime yet through every hospital stay every treatment every setback and every challenge he has continued to smile dream fight and inspire everyone around him

This is Jayden’s Story

In December 2022, Kylie and Dan heard the words no parent ever wants to hear their son Jaden had leukaemia.

Life changed overnight

What had once been filled with school runs, football training, family time and normal childhood moments quickly became hospital stays, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, lumbar punctures, medications and long journeys to both the Royal Marsden Hospital and Padua ward at William Harvey Hospital.

At only 10 years old Jaden faced challenges that most adults would struggle to endure yet throughout every stage of his treatment he continued to show incredible strength, courage, and resilience.

Despite everything cancer throughout him, Jaden never lost his fighting spirit.

Football remained one of the biggest light during his darkest days whether it was watching Manchester United returning to training, stepping back onto the pic pitch after months away or simply spending time with teammates and friends those moments helped him continue pushing forward

Even after missing months of school during treatment, Jayden showed unbelievable determination passing his grammar school test and continuing to make his family proud every single day.

Throughout the journey, there were difficult moments, Setbacks and emotional days. Emergency hospital admissions, Infections, Treatment delays and exhausting maintenance cycles became part of everyday life for Jaden and his family.

But through it all the love and support surrounding them never disappeared.

The local community, friends, football teams, charities and supporters ran around Jayden in the most incredible ways fundraisers were organised charity football events were held and messages of love and encouragement poured in from people wanting the family to know they would never alone.

Through organisations including make a wish UK and the magical taxi tour Jayden and his family were able to create magical memories they will treasure forever from special trips and experiences to meeting Manchester United players and visiting the training ground of the team he loves so much..

These moments gave the family precious time away from hospital life and allowed Jayden to simply be a child again.

Whether it was football, gaming, family days out or simply laughing with the people he loves most, Jayden continued finding moments of joy even during the hardest days.

Even in hospital, he continued to smile.

Still brave.

Still positive.

Still fighting.

After three and a half years of treatment, bravery and determination………

Jayden officially completed chemotherapy in March 2026 and finally rang the bell.

A moment filled with pride, relief, emotion and overwhelming happiness.

Not only for Jayden, but for every single person who stood beside him throughout the journey.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, Bluebirds was extremely honoured to host Jayden’s Cancer-Free Celebration Party Saturday the 23rd of May, bringing together family, friends and supporters to celebrate the end of treatment.

Surrounded by the people who love him most, Jayden will rang the bell once again, this time not inside a hospital ward, but surrounded by love, applause and celebration as everyone comes together to honour the little boy who never stopped fighting.

It was an emotional but joyful evening as family, friends and supporters celebrated a young boy who has shown more courage and strength than words could ever describe.

Kay Owner at Bluebirds created a video of Jayden’s Journey .

Please turn the volume up on the video.

Jayden’s story is one of resilience, hope, love and community.

Most importantly, it is the story of a young boy who refused to let cancer define him.

And now, after three and a half years of fighting…
